Service Description

The Digital Developmental Portrait Screening Tool supports educators in the school setting, to gain an insightful and accurate overview of the developmental needs of all pupils. The Developmental Portrait focusses on the three areas which have been identified as barriers to learning. These are, concentration and focus, social skills, and emotional resilience and are the three developmental areas that children and young people need to learn, achieve, and gain academic success. The Digital Developmental Portrait Screening Tool is time effective without compromising on the quality of the data collected. It consists of just sixteen key questions. The time needed to complete the screening tool and gain an overview of the developmental needs of a class of thirty-four pupils, is less than sixty minutes. The screening tool supports the teacher plan more efficiently which will increase the effectiveness of learning, improve the impact of delivery, and raise achievement for all. The curriculum is statutory but how we deliver it in the classroom is not. When planning includes a focus on children’s social, emotional, and cognitive needs alongside their academic needs learning is enhanced. The suite of books offers strategies that can be implemented at every developmental level. Delegates will: Feel confident to use the Developmental Portrait. Feel confident to use the data to target the developmental needs of children and young people. Feel confident to implement effective strategies to ensure that progress is made and barriers to learning are addressed. Feel confident to integrate developmental strategies throughout the curriculum.
